Hello my name is Deborah Hall and I am the founder of the YANA Family foundation based in Dallas, TX. Our mission is to encourage and support grieving Angel Moms and their families through the spiritual guidance of God. In 2000, over fourteen years ago I lost my son after being struck by several cars while attempting to take a short cut across a highway with his friends. And yes, it still feels like yesterday. While there are no rules to grieving, I finally got to a point in my life where I am able to manage the pain because of my faith, friends, family and the grace of God. I started this foundation to bring about awareness to other Angel Moms and their families letting them know that you are never alone; which is what YANA Family represents. Even on those days when family and friends are not around in that darkest hour and you find yourself feeling like you’re on sinking sand, know that there is a rock on which you can stand.
In 2015 YANA Family will honor twelve amazing women at the first red carpet Angel Mom Tribute. This event is not a memorial but a celebration of their journey and the legacy of their children. God has shown grace allowing each of us to survive the most tragic moment in our lives. I am shooting a documentary of their journey to present at the tribute in their honor. YANA family needs your donations to help make this special event possible. I want to thank you in advance for your contributions of any amount. Please spread the word to your family and friends. May God bless you and remember, YANA! You are never alone.

Natasha Herford shares her angel story
Natasha Herford (shown left) of Garland, TX is one of the twelve Angel Moms being featured in the upcoming Angel Mom documentary scheduled to wrap production in 2015. She's a mom of 3 beautiful children. During a recent interview with Natasha aka CoCo she opened up about her beloved 14 year old daughter that died after being struck by a car last year. Her daughter had pleaded to walk home from school on the last day which was not a normal routine for the Herford household. That walk turned from a last day of school to her daughters last walk on June 4, 2013. The story made headline news on your local channels in the DFW area. CoCo still struggling with the loss was brave enough to sit down with me and share her story. In the photo you can see a picture of her angel, Tylajah Herford known to her friends and family as Laylay.

I asked CoCo why she wanted to be involved with YANA Family and agree to the documentary. With a combination of smiles and tears, she explained that it was important for people to know that she still seeks justice for the death of Laylay. The driver was allegedly using her cell phone when the school children were crossing the road at the time of the accident. It was devastating to hear that her son; one year younger than Laylay was there to witness it all. She also expressed the importance of keeping Laylay's memory alive. I realized that like so many other Angel Moms, she simply wanted to tell her story and have someone listen, I mean really listen. Later that day, we filmed a fun filled afternoon with family and friends in a local Garland park in honor of Tylaja Herford, "Laylay" Stay tuned!
